I had not heard of a "springing" PoA but your link made it clear it's another name for a conditional PoA.

Still, made me think we should look into that for me, for the inevitable time I am no longer able to make decisions for myself. We waited too long for that with my mother, because our father fought us on it, so things fell apart more than they should have. Having a conditional PoA in Deb's back pocket could be very useful.
