I don’t initiate hugs with non-family members, Juhi, but I will take them as I get them. I hugs everybody in the family. All our nephews are taller than me, more muscular, or both, but I have been hugging them since I could pick them up so I’m not stopping now.
But the touch that has me addicted is Deb’s. Holding hands, bumping hips, touching elbows — I feel calm, reassured, and at peace. She is my happy place, wherever we are.
