I could be wrong, Stuart (it happens), but there seems to be a corelation between store size and patron misbehavior. Our preferred grocery is part of a smaller family-owned local chain; the employees wear masks (correctly!), the customers do considerably better than average on masking and distancing, nobody gets upset with anybody, and other than "fresh produce" being more of an aspirational label than a factual product description, the food and such they stock is decent. The checkers say things like, "Hi, honey, y'doin' okay?" when they see us. It's nice, or as nice as retail shopping gets these days.
