I asked for a day and a half off from work to do the prep, procedure and recovery. I told my boss I figured I'd drink the fist batch of prep at work, drive home, and continue from there, so that way I'd get my four office hours in. My boss (older and a previous victim of happy thoughts before HIS colonoscopy) told me I was out of my f*cking mind if I thought that would work. Leave well before lunch, he'd still count it as half a day.

He was correct.
