I am continuously amazed, Carol, that with all the brilliant women engineers and designers out there, that nobody has come up with bras that are comfortable and affordable. My wife (who has needed to wear a bra since puberty) has settled on a "pretty good" one that works for her... but also needs a retro-fitted add-on strap across her upper shoulders to keep her support straps on her shoulders. She refuses to pay for a custom-fitted one — "Have you seen what those things COST?" — despite my insistence that we can afford it. <sigh>
I read about how a group of women created the sports bra, which (from what I understand) has revolutionized women's sports in the last few decades. Not just for pro athletes, but just girls who can now compete in high school and college without pain. Where are the new designers for regular women when they're needed?
