I, alas, am all too familiar with "be careful what you wish for" curse. (Or practical joke. Could go either direction.)

I wished for a wonderful woman who was smart... got my sense of humor (not just laughed at my jokes, but could spin them back at me in verbal tennis matches)... pretty (not originally understanding that ALL the women I fall for are beautiful, even if I don't notice it at the first meeting)... independent... professional... capable... and I got my wish with my wonderful wife. 😊

STRAIGHT! ALSO: STRAIGHT! DID I NOT MENTION STRAIGHT?! Oh, c'mon, it was totally implied, cut me some slack here! 😩

As I have mentioned to both Linda (#1) and Deb (#2, with corrected list), "Your dad's boss has a crappy sense of humor!" (I married preacher's kids. Both times. Not on the list, just seemed to work out. Got great in-laws, btw.)
