Hmmm. On our way back from our (first wife & I) honeymoon she stretched out on the seats in the row (we knew how to raise the arms) with her head in my lap; I stroked her shoulders and head until she fell asleep. However, this was a mostly empty red-eye flight with the cabin lights out, so I doubt anyone even noticed.

If she had gone the other direction, would I have massaged her feet? Sure! But we were young (31 & 30) and the flight was mostly empty and asleep. And just coming off our honeymoon, we probably would have viewed our behavior as, um, restrained. 😉
