FWIW, the lesbian crowd I hung out with in the early 1990s (long story) were just as big on male-bashing. "Present company excluded, of course!" But it was fine, because they didn't mean it — well, not in a nasty way, anyway — okay, only occasionally in a nasty way, but they had history — and my sense of self-worth was pretty much in the trash bin anyway.
