FWIW, Ruby, on our very first date, my (now) wife confided to a stranger in the ladies room at the restaurant we were at (who remarked that the two of us at a nearby table looked very happy together) that she intended to marry me. We'd known each other about a month at that point, at work. Three months later I proposed; five months after that we were married.

However, it took Deb 17 years to mention this little anecdote to me. I trust you told your hubs sooner?

Also FWIW, while my wife has friends she calls weekly and others she gets together with on a regular basis, I have not made any new friends since we've met. If anything, I've let ones that I had beforehand drift off. She's all I need.
