FWIW, a dear friend of mine from college got married in 1981 with a not-subtle baby bump under her wedding dress. The wedding got moved up because she had paid for the damn dress and was NOT going to get a new one or have that one altered.

Everybody knew. Well, all the gang from college did (class of 1980, definitely Boomers), I'm not sure about the oldsters.
