Interesting read. Also heard an interview on NPR (might or might not be the same company featured). Groups like these are vital to the government, because hiring (and vetting, and training, and paying for) new government employees is impossible with no notice or planning. Customs & Border Patrol still hasn’t filled the 2,000 extra jobs authorized… in 2014. And Trump wants to add 5,000 more.
And the contractors catch it from both sides of the public: the ones who don’t want them warehousing innocent kids — and the ones who don’t want “undocumented invaders” housed in their community. (Hey, we’re giving free toys to criminals? These young punks who are all gang members? How come MY kid doesn’t get free toys from the guv’mint?)
