Dennett, you don’t repeat the old saw about people who are self-employed usually have an asshole for a boss. However, it sounds like you are pretty hard on yourself, although your clients benefit. You also don’t talk about retirement. Is that a plan, concept, dream at this point?

I remember when I started reading you; you were documenting the purchase (hopefully!) and move (maybe!) to a new home. I almost didn’t read past your first couple stories, because I was afraid that everything would fall to pieces and you’d be trapped in your rental. That chapter had a happy ending, thankfully! So now I worry about your hours and your health and your hubs and your family separation… but I’m still glad you’re on Medium, and I still like to read your stories (and see photos of your wildlife).
