Dennett, I became aware of the “female tax” on clothing in the 1980s (ME: So, you like to wear men’s clothing because you're a lesbian? SUSAN: No, I wear men’s clothes because women’s clothes are overpriced crap! LINDA: I wear women’s stuff, and she’s totally right) but somehow I hoped that a new century would bring improvement.
