Deb (just a tad older than I) didn’t switch from a flip phone until the middle of last year, and then only because she had a real and immediate need for an iPhone. I am of the firm belief that new tech makes sense only when the user has a fully understood benefit; my father used to get a new [phone | car | toaster] whenever a cool new one came out, so most of the time the new gadget went 50% under-utilized.
