Deb is a dog person, Tracy, but then, so was I until I started living with cats. Cats are different than dogs, but also (in my small dataset) very different from each other; IOW, if I say “Dogs do this thing” I am much more likely to be correct about a random dog than if I say “Cats do this thing” about a random cat.

Interesting about your cat also liking to ride on shoulders. I offered my shoulder to various cats through the years, after Coriander, and responses varied from “I don’t think so, dude” attitude (cattitude? you know what I mean) to “You want me to what? On your — wait, WHAT?” confusion. I just filed it under another thing that made Coriander special. 😸
