Deb and I both did the “what do I want to be after I grow up?” pre-retirement reflections. Deb determined she needs to keep doing something “real” — a job (part-time), helping at our church office in an admin role, helping friends downsize before moving (“Nancy, speaking as your friend, you do NOT need five turkey platters when you only serve turkey once a year!”). She’s been doing well. 😊
I, OTOH, determined I need to be less stressed. Doing okay, mostly, but of course “stress” is a relative sliding scale, so a “stressful day” now would have been a “relaxing Tuesday” a few years ago. Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sounds like you are looking ahead, which is good. Also keep a drawer full of “Plan Bs” just in case. For example, we planned to travel a lot more… and then COVID nixed that, and we also wanted to do some overnight trips to visit close relatives but I now have occasional panic attacks driving at night, soooo…
Good luck, dear lady! 💚
