Explaining female fashion to a male who thinks “matching socks” means the socks are the same color
I have asked my wife to explain fashion to me in the past, but now she just says, “I don’t know, honey,” which I’m pretty sure is a cop-out, as she is a damn bright lady. For example, she is no help with:
- Boyfriend jeans (and why a woman would not just borrow her boyfriend’s jeans, and what keeps her boyfriend from borrowing them back)
- Mom jeans (are they supposed to be for moms or from moms?)
She did help me understand that yes, there are workout bras, and yes, running bras are a subset of those for women who are running, but push-up bras are not a subset for women doing push-ups.
