We took a cruise in late July through late August.

Departing Boston in rain and fog (with the ship’s horn blasting every two minutes because of visibility—went on through the night, but not loudly enough to be a bother) we awoke in Portland, Maine. Which was not rainy, nor foggy.

Morning on our verandah. Deb looking out on downtown Portland.

Pretty damn clear, actually.

DEB: Honey, can you believe this day? It’s gorgeous!

Our excursion for the day—we had signed up for an excursion at each port stop, because why not?—was to Kennebunkport and the surrounding area, including a drive past the Bush family compound.
