ME: The Military Times reported that the Navy is looking into high-tech clothing items that will help sailors.

DEB: That’s good, though, right?

ME: It’s menstrual underwear. Which has only been around for, what, at least ten years now?

ME: And the article also talked about how women are supposed to provide their own period products when shipboard. So if a ship is going to be underway at sea for several months¹ the male sailors don’t have to pack rolls of toilet paper and tissues, but the female sailors have to find space for tampons and pads!

DEB: That’s okay, the first thing they can do when they pull into port is buy supplies.

ME: Sure, because there’s something a sailor wants to do when they get off the ship for the first time in months!

(Note to women readers—don’t start venting in the comments yet, it gets worse.)
