Our silver anniversary trip to Florida, where we stayed with my ex-wife, saw two dear friends we’d never met before, and had dinner at Cinderella’s house

ME: So what was your favorite part? Besides being with me the whole time, I mean?

DEB: The dinner in the castle. Although all the dinners were great. What was your favorite part?

ME: Being—

DEB: You can’t pick being with me all the time.

ME: Ummm…

So years ago, we decided — after celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on a cruise to Alaska that we had talked about before we got engaged—that we would celebrate our silver wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World. And since I had treated my parents to dinner at Cinderella’s castle for their 25th in 1981, it seemed only proper to do the same for us.

But first we visited my ex-wife, Linda, and her wife Carol, up in Jacksonville.
