Based on my years of watching “the baby episode” on numerous TV shows, and with no other practical background [no kids in either marriage, which is good because I would have been moving into position with my camera when someone announced “It’s crowning!” and then found myself coming to on the floor with one of the nurses holding something with ammonia under my nose] I have to ask: what about this whole “water breaking” thing? It seems to be the Sure Sign The Baby Is Coming Now, as opposed to contraction intervals. Or was that the mucus plug? Or do I need to watch an actual birth process, which I might be able to do if I pretended someone in the special effects community was going for an Alien-style eruption scene and the actress was over-emoting?
