Aw! Well, {{*hugs*}} dear lady, and sorry you had to go through that. Certainly nothing in your online persona that I’ve enjoyed over the past (couple?) years has been anything that deserves that treatment. Quite the opposite.

I am a little familiar with herding dogs; my sister used to have two Canaans. On a visit to see them, Kia, the alpha dog (in charge of home security) decided I was untrustworthy, unreliable, and not to be left alone with family; I got a nip on the leg that never broke skin, but left a two-inch tear in my pant leg. Dog #2, Ranger (who had NO responsibilities inside the house — btw, this was something the dogs decided, my sister and her husband never trained them in this) thought I was just wonderful (I give good ear scritch) but made no move to protect me (’cause nobody messes with the alpha!). When we went out on a walk, OTOH, the roles shifted; Ranger took point, scoped out every potential predator with a paranoid eye, maintaining good order and discipline with the troop kept in a tight band, while Kia just played tourist and checked on good smells.
