At some point the system will steady out (well, “steady” is over-optimistic, I fear) and AI will be incorporated into the process, just as calculators and Google have been. Just as a health professional Googles a question rather than heads down to the hospital library, AI will do the heavy lifting for initial diagnosis while the staff provides the required human touch. (No, I don’t know what the doctors who never learned how to relate to patients will function. Perhaps they won’t.)
