At some point, Susan, I believe the AIs in our home (Alexa, Siri, and their cousins) will become more knowledgeable about the family than any one family member, because they hear everything (and see, especially if they tie into the security system). At which point kids will have to decide between their best friend, who has been helping them since they were old enough to talk (“’Lexa, where my SHOE?!” “Alexa, tell Mom practice is running over.” “Alexa, what outfit should I wear to school today?”), and keeping secrets from parents. Or maybe… “Alexa, send an encrypted text to Billy Singh, saying I would love to go, AND DON’T TELL MY PARENTS!”
