Ah, I envy you! My wife and I used to carpool all the time. On the way to work she’d humor me while I listened to NPR; on the way home, we’d share our day.
We will again; just right now (since September, and for another month or four more, probably) she’s living with her mom, who has terminal cancer and feels better with a family member than a stranger. I stay over there three nights a week, sharing the tiny guest bed, but it lets me curl up next to my wife. It’s all for the best. But I miss my wife.
