Ah. Careful with “skinny.” I had a dear, sweet friend almost punch me in the face because I complimented her on being skinny. (She’s English. I think that’s the only thing that saved me.) (OTOH, I outweighed her by, probably, a good 50–75 pounds, so she might not have done much damage.) (OTOOH, she had Royal Navy unarmed combat training. So yeah, probably best it didn’t come to fisticuffs.) ANYway, point is, she told me she’d been called “skinny” all her life and made fun of for her build (for which, yes, “curvy” was NOT an adjective that came to mind) and she was sick of it and it was hurtful and she did NOT appreciate it. So I apologized profusely, obviously. But it was the first time I’d ever been told “skinny” could be a bad label.
