Because who else knew Deb since back when?
My wife Deb spoke at a cousin’s funeral recently. She did a marvelous job, of course, both in the writing and in the delivery. Her sister, Nanci, was moved to write up a tribute to Deb, “just because.” Since I delight in anything that makes my wife look good, I asked Nanci if I could post on Medium, since a number of our Medium peeps also think highly of Deb.
My sister Debbie recently spoke at our cousin’s funeral. She said she always wanted to be like Elly. To me, she shouldn’t have to worry about that at all… she was all that and more. From as young as I can remember, I always looked up to my big sister. I admired her when she would crawl out the attic window and sit on the roof with Cleon Watts. She was so BRAVE!
SHE could ride her bike and not scrape her knees and knuckles. What an overachiever to me. She could watch “Lost in Space” on TV and not have nightmares. WOW!
As we moved along in school, she never seemed to have to work very hard to get good grades. I often struggled to get a “C.” I remember in seventh grade, we were seated alphabetically by our last name.
